AT THE FRANKLIN COMMUNITY CHURCH

Dee Dee Tibbits, an accomplished musician, plays unusual antique instruments and shares historical facts about them. The program features a peek into our bicentennial past. Sit back, relax and enjoy a free evening of entertainment.

Fun Franklin Fact

First Dry Roasted Peanuts

In 1940, in a shed behind the Buel/Slade house, Samuel Buel Slade, grandson of Dr. Julian Buel, developed the first dry-roasted peanuts ever made. His business was called Franklin Foods Incorporated.
