Minnie Pearl

Minnie Pearl was the stage name for comedian and country singer Sarah Ophelia Colley Cannon.

She was born in 1912 in Tennessee. Her trademark was a straw hat decorated with flowers, a $1.98 price tag hanging from her hat and a “How-Dee! I’m just proud to be here!” greeting.
