The Blacksmith

The blacksmith shop had a rhythm of its own. There was the clang of the hammer on the anvil, roar and hiss of the forge, whoosh of the bellows and the tapping of horse shoes being filed.

A smithy heated , forged, shaped and repaired metal to make tools, machinery parts and children’s toys.
