The Brick Worker

The brick workers were employed on the Bigelow farm at 14 Mile and Inkster Roads. While farming, the Bigelows discovered clay suitable for making bricks.

As a diversion, some workers inscribed bricks with their names or names of their family members.

Brick homes and businesses were intermingling with log structures as the village progressed.
