The Suffragist

A suffragist was a woman activist in the early 20th century who campaigned for women’s rights to vote.

Their efforts resulted in the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution which guaranteed women the right to vote. 

It officially became part of the constitution on August 26, 1920.
